Lenihan staying at Burton

Burton have extended the loan of midfielder Darragh Lenihan from Championship Blackburn.

Lenihan's initial month-long stay at the Pirelli Stadium ended at the weekend but the promising 20-year-old will now remain with the Brewers until January 3, 2015.

Lenihan joined Blackburn in the summer of 2011 but he has yet to make a first-team appearance for Rovers, although the development squad captain has been an unused substitute.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international made his first start in senior football in last Monday night when Burton won 3-1 at Wycombe.
